Police nab five murder accused

Rajamahendravaram: The police on Saturday unraveled a murder case in 10 days and arrested five accused and four boys and two women who also involved in the case are at large.

The murder took place on December 4 night and Bommur inspector KN Mohan Reddy investigated the case. The court remanded the five accused to 14 days custody. 

Speaking to media at police guest house here on Saturday, East Zone Deputy Superintendent of Police G Nagaraju said the murder took place because of an illicit relationship between Chikatla Satish of Kadiyapusavaram village of Kadiyam mandal and Jyothi, wife of Gubbala Veera Venkata Ramana of the same village.

After learning about Jyothi’s affair with Chikatla Satish, Gubbala Veera Venkata Ramana warned the duo and stopped his wife to go outside. 

Enraged with this, Satish took the help of Jyothi and later Laveti Nagadevi of Madiki village and the trio planned to eliminate Venkata Ramana. 

As part of it, Satish purchased a mobile SIM and gave to Nagadevi, who succeeded to move with Venkata Ramana closely and took him to an orchard of Kada Durga Prasad in Pidimgoyyi village on December 4 night. 

The prime accused Satish and others tied Venkata Ramana in a shed and later to a tree and beaten him with beer bottles till night. Later, Satish stabbed Venkata Ramana with a knife on his neck, who died on the spot. 

Later, Satish dumped the body and knife in nearby bushes and left the place. 
On December 5 morning, when the accused digging a pit in the same orchard, its owner Lada Durga Prasad and his watchman questioned Satish, who fled the spot immediately sensing trouble. 

Acting on the information, The police arrested Chikatla Satish, G Durga Prasad, K Ravi Kumar, B Rajesh and K Tarun and four boys who helped them and the two women accused Naga Devi and Jyothi were at large. 

The juvenile was sent to juvenile school. The police recovered the knife, three mobile phones of the accused and one mobile phone of deceased and TVS bike. 

Based on the complaint lodged by Pidimgoyyi village revenue officer, a case was registered in Bommur police station.
