Child rights protection: District Judge
Eluru: District Judge G Sunita said that the rights of the children should be protected with proper coordination between the police, Juvenile Justice Board members, Child welfare council members and child protection officers.
She was addressing the training classes for the members of various departments in protecting the rights of children at Zilla Nyaya Seva Sadan here.
The police should discharge their duties with utmost care, she said and added that everyone should strive to make the children best citizens.
She said that as per the direction of National Legal Service Authority, meetings would be organised at Sanivarapupet, Gavaravaram, Satrampadu, Chodimella, Kodvolu villages to bring awareness among people regarding enactments and welfare programmes.
First Additional district judge G Gopi said that the police should know the provisions of the POCSO Act.
District Legal Services Authority secretary and senior civil judge K Sailaja, senior civil judge Srinivasa Rao, Mobile Court judicial first class magistrate R Venkateswara Sarma, Excise court judicial first class magistrate GLV Prasad, Second additional judicial first class magistrate D Umadevi, Principal junior civil judge Sudha Rani, Mahila police station DSP GVS Paideswara Rao, DPO Sarat Babu, advocate Kuna Krishna Rao, CWC chairperson Madhavilata and others were present.
