Infosys selects 27 candidates from QIS Ongole

Ongole: The information technology giant Infosys recruited 27 students from the QIS College of Engineering and Technology and offered a package of Rs 3.60 lakh per annum, announced the president of Nidamanuri Educational Trust, Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao.

In a press meet held in the college, Nageswara Rao said that 12 studnets from ECE, 12 students from CSE and three students from the EEE are selected by the Infosys after a series of tests and interviews. 

He appreciated the students that these 27 students are leading the total 37 students selected by the Infosys from the Prakasam district. 

He said that the Campus Recruitment and Training program, the skill centers, placement officials helped the students to excel in the placement drive. 

He said that he is proud of the students for best performing not only in academics but also in the campus drives.

The college principal Dr Dhulipalla Venkata Rao advised the students to not rest as there are many major companies visiting the college for recruitments soon. 

The corporate relations director Sudhir Kekre said that the days of theory based selections are gone, but the students should prove their application based knowledge now. 

He said that the industry ready training at the centers of excellence in the college is helping the students to have holistic education.

The QIS placement director Challaram Swamy, placement officer Jagadeesh and other staff also appreciated the students for their selecting into Infosys.
