Vijayawada: Minister for Agriculture Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy asked YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy to tell the public whether he would come to the Assembly only if he is elected as Chief Minister.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, he said that it appears that YS Jaganmohan Reddy will not come to Assembly if he is not elected as Chief Minister. Jaganmohan Reddy should disclose his stand about  his presence in the Assembly in the  election manifesto giving clarity to the public, the minister suggested.

He also said that BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao should know the hardships of farmers for doing farm works for six months. The BJP was making false publicity against the State government only with only political motive, he said.

Somireddy further said that the Opposition leaders were criticising the government without knowing facts and asked Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan whether they know anything about agriculture.

He stated that the AP spent more on agriculture compared to Telangana adding that Telangana allocated Rs 17,361.21 crore while Andhra Pradesh spent Rs 23,710.22 crore during the last five years. He said that the Opposition parties and the leaders should enquire and know the facts and progress of agriculture sector in the State.
