Firms creating jobs welcome

Amaravati: Small and medium IT companies are as important as mega IT companies to create employment in the state and hence the decision to encourage them on a large scale, Minister for IT and Electronics N Lokesh said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a function after inaugurating five IT companies at Tadepalli near Mangalagiri in Guntur district and one – AP Online – in Vijayawada, Lokesh said that the government has been providing office space to the companies in plug-and-play mode in the first phase.

In this office space, the companies could provide employment to 250 youths. After assessing the performance of the companies, the state government will allocate land and provide other benefits in line with the state government's policy, he explained.

The five companies were: GT Konnect India Pvt Ltd, Parikaram IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, Teck Scape, Trendsoft Technologies and Diagno Smart Solutions at APNRT office. GT Konnect India will provide employment to 100 members.

GT Konnect is a suite of web-based global trade management software and it is designed to support the needs of self-filing importers, exporters and help improve operational efficiencies through automation, integration and collaboration.

Parikaram IT Solutions also will provide employment to another hundred members. This is into BPO services in media and entertainment, data and various analytics, social media management, business process re-engineering, business transformation, IoT, and artificial intelligence.

Teck Scape is a division of i- Teck Scape Inc is an IT Services start-up company in AP. It is engaged in IT & BPO services and IT Training, cloud migration and upgrade aging infrastructure, will create 100 jobs.

Trendsoft Technologies is an IT/ITES service start up provider across various platforms of KPO & BPO services. Also into the field of IT & publishing, data entry, catalogue processing etc. Clients are in BFSI, health care and many more. This company aimed to provide employment to 100 members initially.

DiagnoShop provides a centralised online cloud and mobile platform for healthcare diagnostic centres and patients to interact with each other, which will generate employment to 30 people.

Lokesh said that he aimed to provide employment to one lakh youth in the state and has already provide jobs to 35,000. He added that a few IT majors are ready to set up their development centres in the state very soon.
