Kick-start pending works in 21 days: Ganta to officials
Visakhapatnam: HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao directed the Collector Pravin Kumar to write a letter to the government for sanctioning of RTC depot at Tagarapuvalasa stressing the need for depot in the area. The minister also directed the APSRTC officials to write letter for the same to the management without further delay.
APSRTC depot and bus complex are one of the long-pending dreams of people of Bheemili Assembly constituency. During the past three decades, the contestants in the polls, are assuring the people that after coming to power, they will make efforts for sanctioning of RTC Depot and Bus complex. However, as the APSRTC is not sanctioning new bus depots for the past several years, the demanding is not fulfilling.
However, during his recent visit to Bheemili constituency, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu promised to the people that a depot and bus complex would be sanctioned immediately.
In order to review the Chief Minister’s assured sops to the constituency, Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao convened a meeting with all the heads here on Wednesday. During the meeting, the officials informed that RTC was not sanctioning new depots due to severe financial crisis.
Responding on the issue, the minister directed the collector to write a letter to the government mentioning that the Chief Minister’s promise and to treat it as a special case, the depot will be sanctioned at Tagarapuvalasa.
While reviewing other developmental works, the minister directed the VMRDA and Roads and Building officials to kick-start the works including central lighting, landscaping and centre beautification works of the pending Visakhapatnam-Bheemili Beach Road.
The Visakha Valley School Road (connecting the highway to beach road), Bheemili light house, parks and 6-lane road works should be started without delay. All the works should be grounded within 21 days, the minister directed the officials.
The collector also directed the officials to write a letter to government for immediate sanction of Bheemili Community Health Centre with 100 beds hospital and 30 beds Tallavalasa hospital to 50 beds hospital.
The minister directed the officials to shift one of the both vegetable and flower market to Agriculture Market Yard and also to establish two rythu bazaars one at Yendada and one at Tagarapuvalasa. All the key officials in the district were present in the meeting.
