Mythological plays enthral audience in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: The second day of national drama festival showcased two mythological plays titled “Sri Krishna Tulabharam” and “Karnabharam” on Tuesday at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College by Telugu Velugu, cultural organisation.
Bhaskara Kala Kendram from Naively, Tamil Nadu presented “Srikrishna Tulabharam” play. This is a known story to all drama lovers. This was directed by Kundurthi Venkata Krishna who also performed the main role of Sri Krishna. This mythological play was written by Muttaraju Subba Rao. The team presented a scene from the play. Since it is quite popular, the audience enjoyed.
The second play “Karnabharam” was well performed by the team of Indravathi Natya Samithi from Siddhi in Madhya Pradesh. This was originally written by Mahakavi Bhasa. This was excellently presented by the team consisting of 19 artistes with good technical values. The story of Karna, son of Kunthi was portrayed in this play.
This play was adopted by Narendra Bahadur Singh Bigel and directed by Neraj kundar and Roshini Prasad Misra. Golla Narayana Rao, Potluri Harikrishna, Ramesh babu, Dasari Sivaji Rao and others attended the programme.
