Amenities assured to tiny, small, medium entrepreneurs

  Kakinada: East Godavari District Collector Kartikeya Mishra announced that infrastructure facilities and amenities to entreprenurs of small and medium and tiny industries would be provided if they assure employment to local women self-help groups. 

Interacting with representatives of these sections from Tirupur in Tamil Nadu on Thursday, the collector assured them to this extent.

The team expressed willingness to start 100 small scale units in East Godavari. They sought the provision of necessary sheds and other amenities at reasonable cost.

The representatives said that they are prepared to start garment knitting, packing boxes notebooks and turmeric processing units. The team also said that employment would be provided to maximum 200 SHG women in these units and will provide salary of Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per month.

The collector said that for setting up of small, tiny unit clusters are being developed in the district.

The representatives later met Deputy CM N Chinarajappa who also gave green signal to their proposals.
