Engineers need to take part in service activities
Eluru: District Collector Katamneni Bhaskar inaugurating the new building for Raviteja Children’s Home built at a cost of Rs 14 lakh by the Kakinada Engineering Alumni Trust here on Thursday, said that the engineers should involve more in service activities to become a part of the development of the society.
Addressing the gathering, the collector said that due to the advent of modern medication, the incidence of AIDS has considerably come down.
The number HIV positive among the pregnant has been controlled remarkably.
“If the HIV positive persons take medicine regularly their life span would be extended by 35 years,” he added.
Trust members Giridhar, PV Rao, MV Krishna Rao, Kosaraju Ramesh, S Purnachandra Rao, Jagannadha Rao, Subba Raju, NGO leader Ch Srinivas, Children’s Home president Aikaraju were also present.
