Gear up for Rathasapthami: TTD EO to staff

Tirupati: In an effort to give the precincts of Tirumala temple, the best possible look, TTD is contemplating to go for the advanced system of cable wiring in four mada streets, soon. Review meeting with senior officials was held at the conference hall in TTD Administrative Building here on Thursday evening.

TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, who complimented the officials and their staffs for the massive success of Vaikunta Ekadasi in Tirumala and Tirupati as directed by all departments to gear up for the next big fete, Rathasapthami which is falling on February 12 next year.

During the review meeting, the EO instructed the SE Electrical Venkateswarulu to coordinate with radio & broadcasting, SVBC and security wings to ensure advance cable wiring network in mada streets. "The cable wires should not be seen outside. Go for advanced system. He also instructed the SE Electrical to set up LED display boards in all vital junctions in Tirumala", EO directed the concerned. 

He instructed the officials concerned to take up the development of SV Museum in Tirumala in a phased manner. “Identify the hall which need to be developed initially,” he said. The EO has said the plantation in third phase Ring Road should be taken up and for that a clear plan is needed. 

As the Teppotsavams (float festival) are set to take place in March, the EO instructed SE II Ramachandra Reddy to complete the renovation and repair works of brass grills of Pushkarini before the religious event. He also instructed him to come out with an action plan for scaffolding at all vital points in Tirumala akin to the one set up at Vaibhavotsava Mandapam.

“Design traditional arches in the place of grill gates to give aesthetic feel for the Saptadwara gates at Rambagicha,” he added. As the winter season is in its peak, the EO instructed the concerned to keep sufficient number of blankets ready at the reception counters for the pilgrim use and directed PRO Dr T Ravi to educate pilgrims on the availability of blankets with the help of Srivari Sevakulu.

The EO said, one lakh laddu boxes with and without the images of Lord shall be introduced soon in the place of plastic covers on trial basis and further decision can be taken based on the feedback from pilgrims so as to stop using plastic covers for laddus in Tirumala to make it plastic free.

Later, the EO also reviewed on the progress of development works in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple. The Chief Audit Officer Sesha  Sailendra presented a power point presentation upon the development works. The EO also directed the concerned to get ready the wooden chariot for next Ammavari Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanur.
