Poor Farmer Begs Against Corruption In AP

 Angered over the Revenue officials for insisting bribe to resolve his encroached land issue,  a farmer from Madhavaram village of Velugodu mandal in Kurnool district along with his family members staged a novel protest by begging  people requesting to donate money. 

Venkateswarlu approached the officials and lodged a complaint that his land was encroached upon by some people.  He said the officials declined to resolve the land issue unless they are paid bribe.  The farmers associations took strong exception and supported the farmer.  They also came forward to stage dharna and brought the issue to the notice of the district Collector.  

The Collector maintained Venkateswarlu made false allegations against the officials and threatened to file a defamation case.
