Reforms in education system stressed

Kadapa: Former MLC Prof Nageshwar has said that the governments have failed miserably in promoting the qualitative education to the poor students instead it went into the hands corporate sector. 

Addressing the gathering at 22nd State-level convention of SFI here on Thursday, Nageshwar mentioned that the State government has assured to provide the education from KG to PG at free of cost, but it was not done so as it distanced the common people by privatising the education.

However, the former MLC has stressed the need of bringing reforms in the current education system in the interest of all sections of people availing it.

He mentioned it was unfortunate that after the BJP emerged to power in 2014 elections, NDA government was responsible in poisoning the minds of students by inducting the religious matters and hardcore Hindu fundamentalism as lessons as such efforts leads for scarcity of scientific education. 

Nageshwar demanded the government to allocate maximum funds in the budget in the interest of developing infrastructure facilities in schools and welfare hostels. SFI state president K Rameshand others were present.
