Stop creating hurdles for works: Tribals to Maoists

Visakhapatnam: Over 200 tribals including women and children from various hamlets of Vizag Agency took out a rally for over 2 kilometres appealing Maoists to stop creating hurdles for government in developing road connectivity and cellphone communication towers at Agency area on Thursday.

According to sources, the tribals who were residing at Peddapadu, Kumkumapudi, Nakkabanda, Eetharobbula, Mallikarjunalu ,Teemalabanda, Chinna Agraharam, Pedda Agraharam of  Gudem Kottaveedi and other villages from border hamlets, Jeri Gondi and Mandapalli of Koyyur mandal had took part in the rally.

The tribals appealed to Maoists not to create hurdles for the government as they are facing tough times due to lack of road connectivity for their hamlets in receiving education to their children and for their illness. 

The tribals also stated that the cellphone towers which were developed by the government were useful in communicating among the tribal families to know about their welling of their beloved once and children who were residing far away from them.

Speaking to The Hans India, Superintendent of Police Attada Babujee appealed to Maoists, who were carrying out the movement for the welfare of tribes should encourage and support the development works that took place at tribal agencies instead of damaging the plant and machinery.
