6,300 students take part in Youth Day celebrations at VVIT

Vijayawada: The celebrations of National Youth Day,  VIVA-VVIT 2018 were started on a grand scale at Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Nambur on Friday with space is the background and sky is limit slogan.

Vasireddi Vidyasagar, Chairman, Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, has said that the success of Indian Space Research Organisation in launching satellites has been taken as background of unbound space to take out the expertise from Indian youth of boys and girls. 

These celebrations are inaugurated by Vasireddy Vidayasagar on Friday and will be concluded on December 22.  On the first day, approximately 6,300 students from 42 colleges have competed in sports, cultural and technical fields.  

These programmes are supervised by teaching staff and SAC (Student Action Committees) of 12 clubs in the college.  The students have enjoyed a lot and a festival like atmosphere has been created by them in the college. 

The students of 6 departments have shown their expertise in Technical Quiz, Paper Presentation, Project Expo and other competitions.  On the cultural front, the students have entertained public with modern dances, film songs, mimicry , paintings and poems in Telugu.  

On the sports side, students have showed their skills in Koko, Volleyball, Throw Ball and Basket Ball.  The students have arranged platforms with artifacts with the background of space.  All these platforms have especially impressed the public.
