Advanced technologies to create smart cities

Guntur: The three-day international conference on ‘Green Technologies for Smart Cities’ (GETSEC-2018) which concluded on Friday at SRM University, AP – Amaravati advocated the advanced technologies to be adopted in creation of Smart Cities to provide pleasant life for its citizens.

The scientists and the academicians, who are studying the challenges faced by the cities and also providing solutions to such challenges to the policy makers have presented their papers in the three days.

The participating delegates at the conference in a single voice expressed that Smart Cities should be free from air, water and sound pollution and these Smart Cities are also aimed at efficient administration and strong economic growth and added that Smart Cities have to provide better education, health care, employment opportunities to generate more income and mainly equal access for all resources, the Scientists felt.

Renowned technocrat, T Harinarayana, Krishna Rajan Edara from Detroit, hospitality business consultant Bhagirath Joshi was also present.
