First Graduation Day of MITS celebrated
Madanapalle (Chittoor): Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science (MITS) has celebrated its first Graduation Day on its campus here on Saturday.
Prof S Srinivas Kumar, Vice-Chancellor (V-C) of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Anantapur has attended the Graduation Day as chief guest and declared the graduands as graduates qualified by the JNTUA, Anantapur.
In his address, the V-C made an appeal to the graduates to be responsible to their parents, institute and the country.
He appreciated the efforts of the MITS in research and academics in a backward area like Madanapalle.
He lauded the date of the Graduation Day where simultaneously the birthday of Srinivas Ramanujan is being celebrated.
He called for the celebrations of Graduation Day to be on the same day every year to commemorate the genius’ birthday.
MITS Chairman N Krishna Kumar, Secretary and Correspondent Dr N Vijaya Bhaskar Chowdary, Principal Dr C Yuvaraj, deans, heads of the departments, faculty, graduates and their parents were present.
