Man, son murdered; bodies buried under road

Guntur: In a shocking incident, a man and his son were allegedly murdered and their bodies were buried under road in between Nidamarru and Kuragallu villages in Guntur district. 

According to police, the deceased Vemula Lakshmaiah ,48, and his son Vemula Suresh, 25, were supervising road works on behalf of a company in the state capital Amaravati. For the last five days, they went missing. 

Based on the complaint lodged by their family members, the police registered a case. On suspicion, the police dug the road between Nidamarru and Kuragallu with JCB and they found their bodies. 

The deceased hailed from Mellavai village under Nampalli mandal of Nalgonda district. The police are suspecting proclain operator Naresh, who was absconding, hailed from Jarkhand might have murdered them and buried the bodies. 

Mangalagiri DSP G Rama Krishna said, Vemuala Lakshmaiah and his son Suersh who are supervising the road works, argued with JCB driver Naresh for allegedly selling oil in JCB. 

“We are suspecting Naresh might have murdered and buried the bodies under the road," he said.
