Kavali Ratna award to septugenarian woman athlete

Nellore: Kavali Sub-Collector Ch Sridhar said that they would take measures to construct town hall in Kavali in Nellore district for conducting local programmes. He presented Kavali Ratna award to the septugenarian athlete Manikala Ramasubbamma of Kavali who bagged many national and local medals at felicitation programme arranged at Cut Pieces and Cloth Merchants Association hall here on Sunday.He also said that he was feeling proud for handing over the award to the inspiring veteran athlete of the town who brought lots of appreciations to Kavali town. 

Head of Kavya Charitable Trust Daggumati Venkata Krishna Reddy said that it is fortunate to have a talented athlete at the age of 70 who brought name and fame to the town. He announced Rs. 1 lakh support to her for participating events in Argentina. He also announced Rs. 10 lakh donation for construction of town hall in the town.
