Speaking to The Hans India, Lakshmi Narayana said that farmers do not need loan waiver but relief from loans. He suggested establishment of processing units to reduce the wastage of produced food and commodities and convert them into revenue for the farmers.

He said that marginal farmers should join together to form farmer-producer companies thus to reduce the cost using mechanisation and market their produce for best prices.

The former IPS announced that he was trying to encourage youth to take agriculture as a profession, instead of offering them unemployment allowance and help them market their produce and export the processed products.

Lakshmi Narayana said that the peoples manifesto prepared by his team with the experiences and interactions with the locals in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had a great impact in the recent Telangana Assembly elections.

He said that the people in many constituencies put forth their demands in front of the contestants and forced them to sign on a bond paper that they would meet the demands if elected. He said that his supporters wanted him not to join any political party as of now, but he would announce his plans of political journey soon.
