Collect tax on vacant land in Rajamahendravaram city
Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Commissioner Sumit Kumar directed the bill collectors and the officials of the Revenue wing to issue demand notices to the owners of vacant lands in the city immediately and collect vacant land taxes from them.
Addressing the bill collectors and other officials at the office here on Monday, he said so far 198 vacant lands were identified and notices were issued to the land owners, but still there are many vacant lands in the city. The bill collectors should identify the vacant lands and issue notices to the respective owners.
The commissioner also directed the bill collectors to arrange flexis at the vacant places immediately and asked them to achieve 100 percent tax collection by the end of February 2019. Additional commissioner will review the progress of tax collections, he said.
Laying of all roads should be completed as per schedule with quality in the city and no delay in this regard is an excuse, he said to the engineers.
