Six killed as car rams tractor

Guntur: A pregnant woman and his mother died on the spot, another four persons succumbed to injuries at the GGH when the car in which they were travelling crashed into a tractor going in the same direction at Timmapuram in the district late on Monday night. 

According to Chilakaluripet rural CI S Vijayachandra, after performing Sreemantham  to V.Jayasree, 19, at Yadavalli Vilalge,  her mother T Anasuya, 39, S Ramadevi, 38, her daughter Ramya, 19, son Srikanth, 20, K Fransis, 24, were returning from Yadavalli near Chilakaluripet in a car..
When their car reached Timmapuram on the National Highway-5, it rammed into a tractor going ahead of it at a high speed. 

Srikanth was driving the car. Due to the impact of the crash, pregnant woman Jayasri and her mother Anasuya died on the spot. The remaining four passengers  were shifted to the GGH. Ramadevi, Ramya, Srikanth and Fransis died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday. 

Anasuya, Jayasree, Ramadevi, Ramya and Srikanth hailed from Gorantla near Guntur city. Fransis hailed from Medikondur in the district. Circle inspector S Vijaya Chandra said they were suspecting poor visibility caused by fog for the accident. 

“We can ascertain the exact reason only after completing the investigation,” he said. Chiakalauripet rural police registered a case and are investigating.
