UP win national tennis ball cricket

Vijayawada: Go Sports 29th Senior National tennis ball cricket championship concluded here at IGMC stadium with Uttar Pradesh and Goa winning the men’s and women’s titles respectively. The Odisha men and AIIB women were the runners.

The Go Sports CEO CR Mohan, and Imran Lahri, secretary of Tennis Ball Cricket Federation of India participated in the prize distribution and handed over the trophies to the winning teams.

Earlier, about 69 league and knockout matches, besides eight quarterfinals and four semifinals for men and women were held at IGM Stadium.

In the men’s semifinal match Odisha team defeated Rajasthan team by a margin of 11 runs while Uttar Pradesh team beat Goa team by 25 runs. In the final Odisha made 37 for 5 in 8 overs and in reply, UP made 38 runs for loss of two wickets and three overs and won the title.

In the women’s semifinal, Goa team won over Chhattisgarh team by a margin of 37 runs while All India Industries Board (AIIB) team defeated Rajasthan team by 40 runs to enter the final. 

In the final match Goa team won by 31 runs over AIIB team and emerged as Champions.

Aman of Uttar Pradesh and Sunaina of All India Industries Board won the players of series title in men and women category.
