Be ready for elections, DIG tells cops

Kurnool: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Kurnool Range, D Nagendra Kumar directed the police personnel to get ready for ensuing elections.  They have to improve their capabilities and work with a team spirit. He along with the Superintendent of Police Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli inspected the Armed Reserve Head Quarters on Wednesday.

Later addressing the police personnel, the DIG asked them to be ready to tackle the ensuing elections. Police have to be alert always while discharging their works. He lauded the parade performed by the Home Guards and appreciated the Superintendent of Police for his efforts.

The DIG said that he will strive to see that every police personnel will get two promotions during their service period. He suggested the police staff to make best use of the government sponsored welfare schemes.

The DIG further said that the Home Guards are also a part in the police department and are equally discharging duties on par with civil police. The salaries of Home Guards have been substantially increased. The police have to work with a team spirit to bring name and fame to the district. The inspection of Armed Reserved Head Quarters is part of annual inspection, said the DIG, D Nagendra Kumar.

Prior to the programme, the Armed Reserved and Home Guard personnel performed march-past. The tracking and sniffer dogs performed spectacular feats. Additional Superintendent of Police, Madhava Reddy, I Venkatesh,  Home Guard Commandant, N Chandra Mouli, DSPs, Iliyaz Basha, Lakshi Narayana Reddy, CIs, Hanumant Nayak, Guna Sekhar Babu, RIs, George, Ranga Muni, Shiva Ramudu, Shiva Reddy, Rama Krishna and others participated.
