Vijayawada: YSRCP leaders and members of Radha-Ranga Mitra Mandali paid rich tributes to former MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga at the YSRCP state office and other places in the district on Wednesday to mark the 30th death anniversary of the departed leader.

Vangaveeti Radhakrishna, son of Mohan Ranga, former MLA and YSRCP leader, along with his followers paid floral tributes to Mohana Ranga by garlanding the statue of Ranga near Raghaviah Park on MG Road. Several hundreds of YSRCP activists and members of Radha-Ranga Mitra Mandali participated in the event.

Despite the presence of sizable number of YSR Congress leaders at the venue, the party flags were conspicuous by their absence for the reasons better known to the leaders.

Gudivada MLA and YSRCP leader Kodali Venkateswara Rao alias Nani, former MLA Yalamanchili Ravi and other leaders participated in the programme.

Kodali Nani, speaking on the occasion, alleged that some forces killed Mohana Ranga as he was a hurdle to them. He praised the services of Ranga. The villagers paid homage to the departed leader on the occasion.
