Vijayawada: Jana Vignana Vedika, (JVV), is celebrating the three decades in the service of people. The JVV was established on February 28, 1988 in Vijayawada to bring awareness among people on various issues in the two Telugu-speaking States.

It has been spreading the message that science for the nation, science for national integration, science for unity, science for self-dependence, science for peace and science for progress since its inception.

The thirtieth birth anniversary of this people’s organisation would be celebrated for two days at Vizianagaram from December 29.

The JVV exposed the magic tricks of various godmen and how they were amassing enormous wealth.

It also exposed the so-called fish medicine and now it has become fish ‘prasadam’ and the number of attendants to fish prasadam distribution has come down to 20,000 from ten lakh earlier.

The JVV conducted its first national conference in 2014 at Hyderabad and the second national conference was organised at Bengaluru.

And now the third national conference is being organised at Gurajada Educational Institutions in Vizianagaram in North Andhra, according to the state president of JVV Jampa Krishna Kishore.

It is expected that a number of intellectuals, scientists, social activists, physicians, experts in various fields, teachers, students and like-minded people would attend the conference.

The JVV is planning to mobilise Telugu-speaking people from all over the country to organise awareness programmes.
