No chance for third front, says Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati: Again terming the proposed Federal Front impractical, TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu said both Samjwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and BSP president Mayawati had not confirmed their joining the third front proposed by TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Addressing a press conference at Undvalli during launch of White Paper on irrigation projects on Thursday, Naidu said that both UP leaders had not joined any front so far and were keeping their options open. Further, he pointed out that both Akhilesh and Mayavati had been opposing the BJP and do not join NDA.

On the other hand, he said, KCR has been talking about third front, which means “no BJP, no Congress” alliance, which is impractical and just like building castles in the air. Naidu explained that there are only two groups in the country at present led by BJP and Congress.

“Regional parties have to sail with either of one of them, weighing which of them is less harmful. At this juncture, BJP is the most dangerous party in the country and hence we have to think practically and join hands with Congress,” he elaborated. He expressed hope both Akhilesh and Mayavati would join Congress alliance rather than the imaginary third front of KCR.
