Develop quality education: APPSC Chairman P Udaya Bhaskar

Kakinada: APPSC Chairman P Udaya Bhaskar strongly advocated for the development of quality education to suit current trends of science and technology. The chairman said that 85 per cent of students were not suitable for direct employment in industries.

To overcome this gaps, a lot of reformations to be brought in engineering curriculum, he added. Participating as chief guest in Decennial celebrations of JNTU-K organised at Alumina Auditorium here on Friday, Udaya Bhaskar asked the students to focus on research in PG education and skill development in under graduate courses, so that they would be ready to face the global challenges.

He also asked the students to focus on entrepreneurship training rather than placements in future, so that the country’s economy will reach to greater heights.

University VC Prof M Ramalinga Raju, speaking on the occasion, highlighted the contributions made by the former VCs for the development of university. Registrar Prof V V Subba Rao highlighted on new implementations in the university like automation, collaborations, financial transactions in online, campus placements and curriculum design.

Later the officials felicitated the chief guest, former vice-chancellors, retired teaching and non-teaching staff, educationalists in connection with the Decennial celebrations.
