Now advocates want to stall bifurcation
Update: 2018-12-30 18:09 IST
It’s just two more days for the High Court to be bifurcated. From January 1, the advocates from Andhra Pradesh will have to work from Amaravati.
Now they have knocked the doors of the Supreme Court seeking more time to relocate. The advocates who approached the Apex Court are under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh High Court Advocates Association.
They are arguing that they should be allowed to function from the present high court for some more time till a proper building is constructed in Amaravati. They want time till March 31.
These lawyers want the Central Government to take back the gazette notification. The Supreme Court, which is currently on a vacation, might hear the case only after the New Year.
