Kapus take out rally in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Hundreds participated in a rally organised by Amaravati State Kapunadu president Sunkara Srinivas Rao on Sunday.
The rally began from Besant road to Dharna Chowk, Alankar Centre. Addressing the gathering Srinivas Rao alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had promised reservation to the Kapu fraternity and later deceived them.
He alleged that the police were denying permission to protest against the government and fight for their right.
He said that the people of Kapu community and Pawan Kalyan played a key role in the TDP winning the elections in 2014. He blamed MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao for creating hurdles when all the Kapu leaders and members were fighting for the welfare and development of community.
He alleged that to protect his illegal activities and to divert the attention from his land extortion cases, he was doing injustice to his own community. He said that the people of Kapu community would teach Naidu a lesson during 2019 elections.
