NTR Visa Kendras set up to encourage sportsmen: Kollu Ravindra
Guntur: Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kollu Ravindra said that the government will develop B R Stadium in Guntur city on PPP mode soon. He along with Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao, Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu on Monday inaugurated Indoor Gymnastics Stadium at B R Stadium premises set up at a cost of Rs 3.61 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was giving top priority for sports and setting up academies and sports cities. He added the government was developing the NTR Visa Kendras in all Assembly constituencies in the State to encourage players and each NTR Vikasa Kendram will be set up at a cost of Rs 2-3 crore. He said the government formed a committee to develop the B R Stadium.
Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao said that government was giving top priority to sports and encouraging the players to get medals at national and international tournaments to get name and fame to the State and country. He said that the government will give ration cards to all eligible in the coming Janma Bhoomi programme.
Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu criticised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for dancing to the tunes of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said KCR was working as official spokesma for Jagan. MLA Mustafa and GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar were also present.
