Ch Ramakotaiah resigns from BJP membership
Visakhapatnam: Expressing his unhappiness over the BJP-led NDA Government’s ill treatment towards Andhra Pradesh and wish to lead the temple archakas issue in the State, BJP senior leader Ch Ramakotaiah resigned from the party membership and his official spokesperson post here on Monday. Ramakotaiah, a well-known strong RSS personality, was one of the key functionaries of Builders Association of India.
He was fighting for Railway Zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters for the past several years. It is a big jolt to BJP in Visakhapatnam. Addressing media, Ramakotaiah said that he was not happy with the BJP government's administration on Andhra Pradesh during the past four and half years and added the people of AP were expected Railway Zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters but in vain.
"Recently, I met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to discuss about the BAI issues. During the meeting, I informed to Naidu about the pathetic situation of temple archakas, who have been under the guise of forward caste.
After my two minutes briefing, the Chief Minister asked me to lead the issue to prepare a document helping the temple archakas. To take up the Brahmin issues in the state, I resigned to the BJP membership," Ramakotaiah said.
