Vijayawada City children top Abacus competitions

 Vijayawada: City children topped in the national-level Abacus competitions held at Arya Vaisya Abhyudaya Bhavan, Secunderabad.

About 17 students from Vijayawada participated in the 6 levels of the national competition and 7 children secured top positions, said Abacus teacher Pavuluri Usha Rani on Monday. 

Speaking to the media, Usha Rani said G Netaji of Nalanda School won the 2nd prize in the first level.

Rishita Priya of S Ritas school bagged third prize in the second level and NSM School students Ketan Sai and Bhanu Satvik jointly won the third prize in third level, Kartikeya of NSM School won 2 prizes in sixth level and he also bagged 2nd prize in oral ability test. 

Usha Rani said that they were training the students from different schools at the Aditya School campus every Saturday and Sunday and complimented the winners on the occasion.

She further informed that the teams from Andhra, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Orissa and other states participated in the mega event.
