Addl CCTVs for Tirumala security

Tirumala: In an effort to strengthen the security in Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara, the TTD Trust Board sanctioned Rs 15.79 crore for installation of 1,050 more CCTVs on the hill top temple town. TTD Trust Board meeting presided by Chairman P Sudhakar Yadav on Tuesday approved many proposals aimed at strengthening security and also improve facilities for the pilgrims in Tirumala, Tirupati and Tiruchanur. 

Briefing the media on the deliberations of the board meeting, Sudhakar said the Trust Board decided to go for tenders for construction of 384 rooms in Pilgrims Amenities Complex (PAC) coming up at Alipiri at a cost of Rs 67.29 crore and also for a separate queue line to be constructed from Sarva Darshanam Complex to Alwar Tank Rest House at a cost of Rs 17.21 crore.

It also sanctioned Rs 2.63 crore for Smart Data Centre in Tirumala while Rs 1.97 crore towards purchase of hardware materials for new Data Centre in Tirupati. The meet also fixed tariff for the rooms and facilities at Sri Padmavathi Complex in Tiruchanur. 

The tariff details are—Non-A/C room per member-Rs 600 and A/C room-Rs 1,200; A/C dormitory per person-Rs 100 and non-A/C dormitory free—in the pilgrim complex. The other decisions include construction of Kalyana Mandapam at Appalayagunta at Rs 2.27 crore, sanction of Rs 40.77 crore towards the development of train dairy farmers and create awareness among students in dairy farming at TTD Gosamrakashana Kendram in Palamaner. 

The Trust Board also decided to construct temples in Agency areas including Parvathipuram in Vizianagaram-Rs 2.9 crore, Seethampeta in Srikakulam-Rs 2.86 crore and Rampachodavaram in East Godavari-Rs 2.99 crore.

 The TTD Trust Board also decided to pay the actual fare as travel allowance to the artistes conducting programmes organised by TTD in various places. TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, Trust Board members and officials were present.
