Astrologer Raman passes away

Vijayawada: Famous astrologer and musician Dr P Anantarama Sarma, popularly known as PA Raman, passed away with heart attack in Vijayawada on Monday.

Raman had his music diploma from Vijayawada Music College. He shared violin as accompanist with many musicians. He had cordial relations with contemporary musicians.

Raman was also a noted astrologer and he wrote number of articles in many newspapers and magazines. He was ‘Asthana Siddhanati’ for many devasthanams like Kanipakam Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple, Bhuvaneswari Peetham and Sahasra Lingeswara Swamy Devasthanam.

Besides this, he was serving the public through his own astrological research institute ‘Bhaskaracharya Astrological Research Institute’. Raman is survived by wife and son.

He was president for Vijayawada Music Academy and also having contacts with many cultural organizations. Vijayawada Music Academy founder secretary Seeram Subrahmanyam said that his death was a great loss to the music world.

Dr G Vijaya Saradhi, Dean, Narayana colleges, Andhra Pradesh expressed his deep condolence for the demise of his childhood friend.

Many cultural organizations like Swara Jhuri, Swara Tarangini, Sumadhura Kala Niketan and Andhra Nataka Kala Samithi expressed their deep condolences for the sudden death of Raman.
