Chandrababu Naidu terms Opposition anti-development force
Ramayapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu called the opposition parties and their leaders “anti-development force”. Participating in the sixth edition of Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru programme at Ramayapatnam in Prakasam district on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that they do not want people to develop using the programmes of the government.
Naidu said that the opposition party leaders tried to influence the farmers during the land-pooling for Amaravati and also at a time of land acquisition for KIA motors in Anantapur district. But the farmers themselves opposed the opposition party leaders and came forward to give their lands for the development of their area, he said.
The Chief Minister also said that opposition also opposed construction of Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme, but the government completed it and provided water to the farmers who otherwise might not save the crops from withering due to drought and deficit rain.
He announced that the government would link all rivers in the state in future. Dismissing the allegations of YSRCP that Rs 6 lakh crore corruption had taken place in the state, he said YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was using his advantage as son of a chief minister who was the reason for many industrialists and senior officials landing behind bars.
Emphasising the importance of power conservation, he said that the state saved 30 to 40 per cent of electricity with the installation of LED lights.
He said that the future is of solar energy and the state is going to provide solar power to all 15 lakh agriculture motor pump sets.
The state had recovered from the deficit of 22 million units soon after the bifurcation and is now providing free power to 18 lakh SC/ST households along with consumer with below 100 units consumption a month.
He advocated use of technology in daily life and promised to distribute smart phones to all and advised people to utilise them for their works done at the comfort of just a click on app.
Naidu announced that the government was disbursing various pensions to 51 lakh people and sharing the burden of girl child marriage with Chandranna Pelli Kanuka.
He said that the IIIT was allotted to Dubagunta near Kanigiri, horticulture college to Gudluru, pulses and millets research institute to Kandukur and
veterinary science college to Lingasamudram in Prakasam district.
He assured that the Veligonda project would be completed by the state government at any cost and expressed confidence that he would inaugurate it. He said that the concrete works in Polavaram foundation set a Guinness record.
He alleged that the Union government was trying to control the state government by indirectly involving in the state matters like law and order. He said that the Centre had awarded the case of attack on Jaganmohan Reddy to NIA. He advised the BJP leadership to keep the spirit of federal union and co-operate with the state government.
Ministers P Narayana, Siddha Raghavarao, MLAs Damacharla Janardhana Rao, collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand, Eluri Sambasiva Rao, Amamnchi Krishna Mohan, Pothula Ramarao, Gottipati Ravikumar, D V B Swamy, Muthumula Ashok Reddy, Kadiri Babu Rao, MLCs Karanam Balaram, Pothula Suneetha, joint collector S Nagalakshmi and others also participated in the Janmabhoomi programme.
