Chandrababu Naidu to take part in special puja on January 31

Tirumala: The construction of Sri Venkateswara Divya Kshetram (TTD temple complex) at Amaravati will be commenced after performing Bhoomakarshana Puja on January 31.

Speaking to media persons along with TTD chairman Puta Sudhakar Yadav at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala after TTD trust board meeting on Tuesday, Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal said the puja, which has to be performed before taking up construction of the temple following Vaikhanasa Agama, will be held between 9.10 am and 9.40 am.

A team of priests and Agama pandits will join in the conduct of the special ritual to pave the way for the temple construction which is expected to start in the first week of February.. 

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will take part in this puja.  The trust board on Tuesday approved tenders for Rs 27.29 crore towards the construction of Maharajagopuram, Arjitha Seva, Addala, Vahana and Ratha mandapams and pushkarini near Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple, a sub-temple proposed in the temple complex Sri Venkateswara Divya Kshetram, coming up at Amaravati.

The board also passed a resolution to appoint temple Archaka Ananta Sayanam Dikshitulu as TTD Agama Advisor for a period of two years. He was appointed in the place of Agama Advisor Vedantam Desikacharyulu who passed away recently.
