Ganta Srinivasa Rao ridicules Jagan’s claim of 341 days yatra
Visakhapatnam: Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao ridiculed the claim of Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy that he would be completing 341 days padayatra which would be concluded on Wednesday at Itchapuram in Srikakulam district.
Addressing the media here on Tuesday, the minister said that Jaganmohan Reddy has been attending High Court on every Friday as an accused in several cases and many cases have been pending against him.
Without making any comments on pending cases, Jagan has been making baseless allegations against Chief Minister, Ganta said. The YSRCP president achieved nothing from his padayatra, the minister pointed out. Because of Jagan’s arrogant attitude, 24 YSRCP MLAs left the party and joined the TDP, the minister said.
Talking about the BJP led NDA government’s sudden and urgent bill providing 10 per cent reservations to the poor families in the upper caste communities, Srinivasa Rao asked the Centre to give clearance to the State government’s recommendations for 5 per cent reservations to Kapu communities.
