Guntur:  BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana felt that steps taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide 10% percent reservations to the poor in the upper castes will give confidence to them. He said, the Prime Minister took a bold decision to extend helping hand to the poor in the upper castes and it would help them to secure better jobs.

Addressing a press conference at his house in Guntur city on Tuesday, he said that Modi will become God in the hearts of the poor and thanked the Prime Minister for taking up an initiative to provide reservations to the economically backward sections in the upper castes.

He pointed out that during the last 70 years, no Prime Minister has taken a bold step to provide reservations to the poor in the upper castes. He said the move by the NDA government on the reservations to the upper castes is a jolt to the TDP and warned Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to keep his tongue in control.

Kanna alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is using 40 years of his experience in politics to loot the State. He said Naidu is not bothered about the quality of the Polavaram Project works but he is only interested in gaining more publicity. Kanna demanded that the Chief Minister should complete the rehabilitation of the Polavaram Project displaced as early as possible.
