Tirumala Express to be extended up to Kadapa

Tirupati: The Tirumala Express between Tirupati and Visakhapatnam will soon be extended up to Kadapa to facilitate the passengers from that district also to travel to the port city.

There had been a long-pending demand of the people there for better connectivity in the route up to Visakhapatnam. By February, the train may run from Kadapa. However, it may be noted that Tirumala express has high demand for berths and will always show huge waiting list of passengers. This demand will further rise once it starts its run from Kadapa.

A huge national flag on a100-foot mast is being set up near the main entrance of Tirupati railway station will be inaugurated by the new chairman of Railway Board Vinod Kumar Yadav during his visit to Tirupati on January 18. The chairman will visit Tirupati for the first time after assuming charge and participate in various development initiatives.

Disclosing the details to The Hans India, divisional railway manager, Guntakal, Vijay Prathap Singh said that it would be a great occasion and requested the citizens to participate in the event. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) will maintain the flag. Needless to say that there was one such national flag on a 100-foot mast before the International terminal building of Tirupati Airport.
