Chief Medical Superintendent inspects hotel in Tirupati railway station
Tirupati: The Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of the South Central Railway (SCR), Guntakal Division, Dr MD Naik inspected the hotel at Tirupati railway station on Wednesday.
Along with Assistant CMS B Surendra Naik and Chief Catering Inspector NM Nagaraju, Naik went round the kitchen, food keeping area and restaurant. He found that inside kitchen needs to be improved further along with the washing section.
“They have to cover the food items with lids,” he stated and suggested some improvements to the management. He, however, said that the passenger feedback about food quality and neatness was good.
The CMS said that railway authorities have been taking several steps to improve food at stations. A high-level committee was appointed which has been reviewing various steps very seriously. Soon, several changes will be introduced as far as the food is concerned, he added. It is learnt that the Indian Railways has been contemplating to have liaison with star hotels for making things better.
