AAPI to start TB project soon

Guntur: American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, USA (AAPI) vice-president Sudhakar Jonnalagadda said that they will take a project in association with the government of India, to eliminate tuberculosis in the country.

He hails from AP and settled in Douglas in US. Speaking to media in Guntur city on Sunday, he said that they will start the project very soon. He further said that the aim of the project is make the country TB-free. 

He further said that they will impart training to the school teachers on first aid when the patient gets heart attack. In the US, school children will do this first aid. 

He felt that there was need to introduce emergency medicine as a subject and need to increase PG medical seats in the country to facilitate more students to study PG courses. 

Replying to a question, he said that there were more PG seats in America compared to India.
