APSRTC to run 3,020 buses from tomorrow
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will run 3,020 special services from January 16 to 20 to various destinations in AP, Telangana and Karnataka to meet the rush of passengers who will be on their return journey following the Sankranti festival.
Hyderabad is the biggest destination for RTC. A total of 1,115 special buses will be operated from various parts of the State to Hyderabad. In all, 275 buses from Vijayawada, 150 buses from Guntur, 160 buses from Ongole, 150 buses from East Godavari district, 100 buses from Kurnool and 75 buses from West Godavari will be run to Hyderabad.
Bengaluru is the second most important destination for the RTC and it will operate 570 special buses between January 16 and 20. A total of 200 buses from Chittoor, 110 buses from Kadapa, 90 buses from Kurnool, 55 buses from Nellore and 50 buses from Anantapur will be plied to Bengaluru.
Besides, some other buses will be operated from other areas to Bengaluru. The RTC will run 202 special buses to Chennai. Out of which, 35 buses from Nellore, Vijayawada and Kadapa district will be operated.
The RTC will operate 175 buses to Amalapuram. In all, 219 special buses from Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and other districts will be operated to Vizag.
A total of 123 buses will be run from East Godavari to Vijayawada. The RTC in a statement on Monday announced that the special services are to meet the rush of passengers in the festival season and requested the passengers to avail the facility.
