Rajya Sabha member seeks Kendriya Vidyalaya at Rudrakota

Nellore: Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy said that he made an appeal to Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar to set up a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Rudrakota village in Kavali mandal. Earlier, he inaugurated a RO water plant at IndirammaColony in 25thdivision in Kavali town on Monday.

Speaking to the media, Prabhakar Reddy alleged that the State government had proposed a minor port at Ramayapatnam in Prakasam district.“This mini port will not provide much employment to local youth in Kavali area and also parts of Prakasam district,” he stated.

The TD government had failed to construct a major port in Ramayapatnam, MP criticised. He explained that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has been striving hard for welfare of 1.5 lakh fishermen across the district.

‘We have started setting up RO water plants to provide purified and fluoride-free drinking water to upland areas and also for the fisherfolk in coastal villages of the district.

The programmestartedinUdayagiri Assembly constituency and would continue in the entire district,’ said Rajya Sabha member. Kavali MLA R Prathap Kumar Reddy, former legislator Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy and others were present.
