Chandrababu Naidu thanks farmers for 11% growth in agriculture
Tirupati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu participated in Sankranti celebrations at Heritage factory in Kasipentla village in Chandragiri mandal and wished the farmers a happy Sankranti. He inaugurated 1,000 KLD effluent treatment plant at Heritage factory and interacted with the workers.
Addressing the workers there, Naidu said that, Chittoor district occupies second place in the state in income from horticulture crops. The food habits of the people across the globe have been witnessing rapid changes as health consciousness has been increasing and everyone was preferring fruits and vegetables. The state has achieved 11 per cent growth in agriculture and appreciated the farmers for cooperating very well in driving the growth of agriculture up.
He said that for the last 26 years Heritage factory was being run without any hitch and always focussed on the empowerment of farmers and the locals by giving them many opportunities to grow economically.
He recalled that he had established the factory when he became active in politics make family economically independent. With a view to work with farmers, dairy sector was chosen and it had flourished all these years with the active involvement of his wife, appreciated the Chief Minister. His wife Bhuvaneswari and officials and staff of Heritage factory were present. Significantly, during last year celebrations also Naidu visited Heritage factory and spent some time there.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by NTR Trust and health camp by Dr R Sudha Rani of Sri Sai Sudha Hospital at Heritage factory. About 50 employees of Heritage donated blood in the camp. Naidu and Bhuvaneswari distributed certificated for blood donors and congratulated the doctors and staff of NTR Trust.
He later reached Naravaripalle and spent time with family until late in the evening. He came out around 7 pm, and received grievances from the public once again in the evening. At this time, he went to the people and listened their problems for almost one hour.
He handed over each and every grievance to Sub Collector Mahesh Kumar and asked him to resolve them. District collector Pradyumna, joint collector-II VR Chadramouli and others were present.
Earlier, the Chief Minister reached Tirupati on his two-day tour to Naravaripall on Monday morning. He was received by the minister for industries N Amaranatha Reddy, collector P S Pradyumna, MP Dr N Siva Prasad, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and other officials.
