TDP pooh-poohs KCR-Jagan tie-up
Amaravati: The Telugu Desam Party Wednesday called Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy 'Modis puppets' and dubbed the proposed Federal Front as a 'puppets front'.
In a strong reaction to the meeting Jagan had with TRS working president K T Rama Rao in Hyderabad to discuss the Federal Front, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister and TDP politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said the relationship between the TRS and the YSRC that so far remained secret has now come out in the open.
"All those who did injustice to Andhra Pradesh are now ganging up. The meeting between KTR and Jagan happened under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Both Jagan and KCR are Modi's puppets," Yanamala said in a statement.The YSRC chiefs claim that he would secure Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh with the help of the TRS exposed a conspiracy, he said.
TDP senior leaders, Ministers, MPs, MLAs and AP TDP president K Kala Venkata Rao reacted against Jagan. Ministers, including N Lokesh, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, P Pullarao, Sidda Raghavara Rao, N Ananda Babu, Y Ramakrishnudu and Ganta Srinivasa Rao, MPs K Ravindra Kumar, JC Diwakar Reddy and Kesineni Nani, Government Whip Buddha Venkanna and others blasted YSRCP and TRS.
Kala Venkata Rao said that Jagan joined the Federal Front to get contracts in Telangana government. He lambasted Jagan for mortgaging AP’s pride to KCR. Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the puppets in the hands of Modi formed the Federal Front and all its votes will directly go to BJP.
Lokesh reacted on his official Twitter handle stating that, “Jagan formed Andhra Drohula (traitors) Front by joining hands with KCR who tried to scuttle the growth of AP for four years and who was responsible for not settling the issues between AP and Telangana pertaining to AP Reorganisation Act.”
Water Resources Minister D Umamaheswara Rao said that the KCR’s daughter K Kavitha lodged a complaint against the construction of Polavaram project in the Supreme Court and the case is still pending. KCR asked Odisha CM also to not cooperate for the project. He added that KCR did not release the money to AP related to power supply settlement. He described the Federal Front as Modi Front.
Minister Nakka Ananda Babu said that Jagan has been resorting to cheap politics in AP. He said that, “Jagan is using his sister Sharmila as a scapegoat to divert the public attention. Minister Sidda Raghava Rao said that KCR created hurdles in settling the properties between Telangana and AP. Pulla Rao said that people will give a befitting lesson to both KCR and Jagan in the ensuing elections.
MP Kesineni Srinivas said that the TDP would win 160 seats, if Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao undertakes campaign on behalf of YS Jagan. MP Ravindra Kumar said that Jagan was desperate to damage TDP and become CM at any cost and resorting to all types of nasty politics. Another MP JC Diwakar Reddy said that both KCR and Jagan were in alliance from last one year and there was nothing new in it.
