Amaravati: Leaders from Kadapa and Chittoor districts joined TDP in the presence of party chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday. Senior leader and former minister from Kadapa district Md Ahmadulla, along with his son Ashraf and JD Rajasekhar, a businessman from Chittoor district, accompanied by hundreds of their followers, joined TDP in a meeting organized at Undavalli.

In the meeting, Naidu appointed Md Ashraf as Kadapa constituency in-charge. He directed both Ashraf and Ahmadulla to visit each and every house from Friday onwards to strengthen the party.  “We have to save the state from the clutches of YSRCP leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy who has entered into alliance with the anti-AP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao,” he said.

Naidu asked Rajasekhar to work hard for strengthening the party and promised to give him suitable position in the party later. Taking a dig at YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy, the TDP chief alleged that Jagan joined in the so-called Federal Front to protect his ill-gotten wealth amassed during his father Rajasekhar Reddy’s rule.

“Federal Front’s remote control is in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Delhi. He is operating it. TRS president KCR has been playing to the tunes of Modi. Thereby KCR threatened Jagan to join the Federal Front. Due to the fear of CBI probe and to safeguard his properties in Hyderabad, Jagan joined it,” he said while asserting that there was no Federal Front.
