Labour dept to sanction scholarships

Guntur: The Labour Department will sanction scholarships to the children of workers employed in petrol bunks, cinema theatres, industries, and commercial establishments from the the Labour Welfare Fund, according to the Assistant Labour Commissioner Chava Asha Rani.

In a press release here on Thursday, she said that children of the employees studying in the courses mentioned below should submit their applications for scholarship. 

The polytechnic students will get Rs 5000 scholarship. The students pursuing law, medicine, BSc, B Pharmacy, M Pharmacy, BBA, MBA and diploma in the lab technician course will get Rs 10,000 scholarship. 

Based on the merit of the students, the scholarships will be sanctioned. 
Asha Rani urged the students to submit their applications before February 15 to the officials and avail the opportunity.
