Several IPS officers get promotions, transfers

Vijayawada: The State government issued orders on Friday giving promotions to several IPS officers and also transferring them to various positions and places.

As per the GO No 142 issued by Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Punetha, the 1994 batch IAS officers Kumar Vishwajeet, Dr A Ravi Shankar, N Balasubramanyam and Kripanand Tripati Ujela have been promoted as Additional Director Generals of Police. Similarly, Vineet Brijal has been promoted as Inspector General of police while S Shyam Sundar, Dr CM Trivikram Varma and G Pala Raju were promoted as Deputy Inspector General of police.    

Kumar Vishwajeet is posted as Additional Director General Organisation and Coordination. A Ravi Shankar has been posted as Law and Order Additional Director General while N Balasubramanyam is retained as the Commissioner of Transport.  

Harishkumar Gupta is transferred as Additional Director General, Provisioning and Logistics. Vineet Brijal has been posted as Inspector General of Police, Greyhounds from DIG cadre. Dr Trivikram Varma, SP of Srikakulam has been posted as DIG of Eluru range. G Pala Raju, SP of Vizianagaram district is posted DIG Visakhapatnam Range. Ch Srikanth is posted as DIG (Technical services).
