Andhra University Assistant Professor sets a new record
Visakhapatnam: Dr N V S Suryanarayana, Assistant Professor in Education, Andhra University, has created a new record by obtaining the highest number of Post-Graduation degrees. Dr Suryanarayana has completed 12 PGs and two PhDs and Two M Phils besides over 15 numbers of various PG diplomas and other specialised programmes.
Malaysian University of Sabah presented the international award to Dr Suryanarayana for his outstanding services in the Psychology department. Dr Suryanarayana has got Asian Admirable Achiever, one among top 500 great personalities in Asia along with APJ Abdul Kalam, CNRK Rao, Kiran Bedi, Medhapatkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The UNICEF identified him as Master Trainer for adolescent education. Dr Suryanarayana is one among 2,000 outstanding achievers in the world listed by Cambridge University, UK. He is the author for 32 books so far.
Dr Suryanarayana has done several PG programmes in Psychology and he designed special teaching programmes and presently officiating as a President for the programme ‘Socio and Emotional Learning.’
He did 11 PGs including M Sc Psychology, M Sc Applied Psychology, MSc Sexology and Sexual Counselling, M Sc Chemistry, M Sc Info Tech, M Sc Geology, M Ed, MA Philosophy, MA English, MA Telugu and MA Child Care and Edn. Dr Suryanarayana also did various PG Diploma courses in HR and Value Education, Guidance and Counseling, Yoga Education, B LiSc, CIG., Yoga & Con., PG Dip Soc Exclusive and Inclusive Policy, NET Science, SLET Education, M Phil Educational Psychology, PhD Education. PhD in Hydro Geo-chemistry, PhD in Philosophy and PhD in Psychology. As many as 208 research papers of Suryanarayana were published in national and international journals.
"Really, I am not aware that I have done the highest number of PGs. Earlier, I have learnt that Telugu Prof Dr Simmanna has done a greater number of degrees. I may be the first person having the highest number of degrees among the presently working faculty in the varsity. I have habituated, since schooling, for reading and learning. Thanks to my parents and my teachers right from school studies to campus," Dr Suryanarayana said on his achievement.
“Any person should have patience, commitment, sincerity and concentration on the work what he/she is doing. Once the goal is fixed, the person should work to reach the destinations,” Dr Suryanarayana said.
