Blood donation marks NTR death anniversary
Srikakulam: TDP founder and former Chief Minister N TRama Rao’s death anniversary was observed on a grand note by the party leaders and cadres across the district on Friday. The leaders garlanded the NTR statues and photoes in all assembly segments and mandal headquarters and recalled his services and welfare schemes.
In Srikakulam, Transport Minister K Atchannaidu, ZP chairperson Ch Dhanalaxmi, MP K Rammohan Naidu, MLAs G Laxmidevi, B Ramana Murthy and party leaders attended the programmes observed at various places in the district. On the occasion, blood donation camps were organised at assembly segments with the assistance of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS).
At Palasa, MLA GSS Sivaji, party district president G Sirisha and Y Venkanna Chowdary organised the blood donation camp. In total, 302 persons donated blood at Palasa and the segment stood in first place in all three north coastal AP districts.
In other segments, 85 persons donated blood in Rajam, 65 in Etcherla, 32 in Amudalavalasa, 25 in Itchapuram and only 8 persons donated blood in Palakonda.
